If anyone has a chute on a Fox could you please post pics of how you have your cable routed from front to back. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know how long your cable is. The dude I bought my notch off installed a used chute and handle, but the cable appears to be about 12-18" too short so he never ran it out the backend of the car. I was going to put a hole either in the top or the bottom of the license frame a sort of wrap the cable around the chute.

The car doesn't really need it especially if I don't run nitrous, but if it's there I think it should be functional. Then again I don't want the damn cable to pull out half way down the track.

I'm going for chassis cert/inspection on the 9th and I'd like to get my ducks in a row first.

I have to finish mounting and routing my chute cable also. Depends on where your going to mount the cable pull handle...this determines how long of a cable you need. I plan on mounting my handle where the stock e-brake handle was located. You don't need the chute on the car or be functional to pass your chassie cert....they are looking at just the cage. I bought my cable/handle as a kit...but i'm sure they sell just cables also.

Check with your local Marine shop about a Morse cable. If those are too expensive, try this....

Does your Stang have a full cage or roll bar?

Thanks guys, the car has a cage and the previous owner mounted the handle above the rear view mirror. His cable is alittle short going along the roof then down the passenger side into the trunk.

I was gonna hit Jegs this afternoon but I didn't have time so I'm gonna yank the cable out, measure it an buy a new one tomorrow. I just found out I have to miss my inspection on the ninth so I have more time.

You dont have to have the chute for a chassis cert.

Right, I just don't like having it on there if it's not functional. I may just pull the chute off for now so it's one less thing to mess with.
