Anyone have any trick ways that they mounted their battery disconnect switches? I'm particularly looking for switches that do NOT use push / pull style rods.

This is the exact disconnect switch I have:

I'm trying to avoid cutting a nice big hole behind my license plate, but I'm just not seeing any way around it at this point. Right now I'm thinking I'll just have to do that and get a flip down license plate holder.

Ideas?

damn thats a nice switch for the price. Ive seen people put them behind the liscens plate and just space out the plate and just take it off at the track. Me i just drilled through the plate and all lol. Ill try to post a pic!

BTW I like the flip down plate deal. That would be cool.

That's probably the route I'll go, the flip down plate method. I just HATE that I have to drill through the car right there.

Yup im still sore about it! I should have went the rod stylw and drilled a much smaller hole into the tail light. Oh well! Keep me posted on this. Want to see it when ur done.

I am running a fuel cell so i am going to mount mine behind the gas tank door. I like it mounted through the license plate too.

Push pull through a taillight is the most easily reversible. No permenant damage

Yea true, i just think it'll look really really stupid with a push / pull rod hanging out the back of a 13 second jy truck motored car :(

Why do you want that on a 13 sec car?

Shit if the cars all wired up already for the switch and that's why you want to run it just swap out to a push pull style and run the rob through the tailight. And you could always unscrew the rod of even the handle when driving it around so you don't even notice it

Thats how I had my 95. Worked great.

I cut a 1in hole thru the tail light, fitted/epoxied a 1in diameter piece of pvc thru the light, contoured to match the shape of the light.

This is mine in the running position. I'm going to paint the rod black eventually and that's as far as it sticks out in the run position.
