Why do you want one in that caliber? It's a handful in .38

it gives you options 357mag, 38spl, 38+p, 38+p+ witch means I will have a higher chance of finding rounds:AR15:

I've shot a .500 S&W with a full sized frame that was easier and more pleasant to shoot than a compact frame .357 but I agree having the option is nice.

Kyles Gunshop gets them in along withthe LCP from time to time. They always have these light weight CCW weapons on order and they go quickly so its best to call them on occasion or check their website. They are also open on Fridays now as I understand it.

but if you can't hit a target with it because of the recoil or lack of practice it doesn't matter much.

That makes perfect sense. I run .38s thru my .357 whenever I just want to shoot and hold 18 rounds for " special occasions".

I've got one in .38 and I agree it is quite a handful. However, it isn't a gun to go plinking with, so if you only need to pop off a couple then bigger might as well be better. I've heard that shooting .357 out of one without ear protection is like throwing a flash bang grenade in front of your face, so hopefully it is just the bad guy that gets stunned should that unlikely event arise.

I think I will be ok before the ammo shortage I would shoot 22 every day and other guns every other weekend perk of living out in the country :D

recoil can be over come by practice also my ccw instructor said most of the time if you are going to use your firearm it will be with in 15-20 feet. I you are holding the firearm properly recoil should mostly effect you on a vertical plane with practice you should be able to compensate ie if I know that the recoil will case a difference of 6 inches at a distance of 20 feet im going to aim at the groin or where the belt buckle should be that should get the bullet in the center mass
