What all is needed to swap my tremec t5 to a tko600 into a 84 gt? Is it just a bell housing then everything else bolts up?

Yep bell housing and a double hump cross member that will slide to the back.if u use a stock double hump cross member you will need to carefully grind the welds off the outer bushings so the crossmember will slide freely to mount the trans mount.the tremec trans mount set back farther than a stock t 5

So if I do a tko 500 ,a stock t5 bell housing will work? Or do I need an adapter plate?

Don't believe stock t5 bell will work for any tremec...

I have one on my current tremec t5 , but I'm not sure about the tko. Was basically just seeing if anyone else has done this and what bell housing their using. Without having to buy a new $600 bell housing . I have been told by a few people that the t5 bell housing should work as long as its the tko500. But not sure if that means with an adapter plate ?

You will need a belhousing with the 500 or 600. The best one to get is the QuickTime belhousing . It's lightweight and has both bolt patterns to fit the t5 or tremec .

That bellhousing I sold u is for actual tremec 3650 /500/600 transmissions.the t-5 u have is made by tremec ...that is what your stock t-5 bellbousing is for.you don't have to have a blow proof bellbousing like quick time /Lakewood/competition engineering etc .that is personal preference/ safety issue.the t-5 bell is for t-5 trannys and the tremec bell is for tremec style transmissions

Thank you for clarifying . Just wasn't sure , I haven't picked up the new tranny yet and was just looking at the new and old one and they looked very similar to the naked eye. Just making sure when Ido order in the next couple days that I will not need anything else. Thanks again and the bell housing looks amazing!

My Ford racing one made by McCloud is both patterns too an sfi approved. Cost $250 new off ebay

Yea I used to have a McLeod . If you've never seen a QuickTime look them up . They are ALOT lighter , sfi approved also , don't need an extended clutch fork to get the geometry right and they are a lot smaller and fit better .
