What year ranger? The old boxy ones are easier but neither are terribly difficult. Newer models have to have the ac plenum removed from the heater case for clearance other than that its pretty straightforward.

Would like to do a 98 and newer think it would be cool I could use my 98 gt for a donor

93 splash ranger
These body style trucks have to have the ac plenum (if equipped) from the heater case modified. Its not really difficult.

I'm gathering parts for my 99 ranger V8 swap. I have a complete Explorer 5.0 out of a 99, wiring harness, maf, air intake, computer, etc. Going with a T5 and have all the stuff for the hydraulic clutch to work. Just waiting on the guy on RPS to make my motor mount adapter plates and I'm going to start. I think it will make the truck a lot more useful.

I had a 2wd S10 with a cammed small block, that thing was a blast if you could ever stop it from spinning. Good luck.

:bigthumb and it should have the same capacity as a base f150

If I can do it to a Nissan, you should be able to handle doing this in a Ranger. If anyone has questions about converting to hydraulic instead of cable, I can definitely give you some pointers

Dang, we should have talked about this when you were there. I had the engine on the stand and have some other parts I've gathered for it as well. Don't remember if I pointed this out or not when you walked through the shop. I think so too. That's why I want to do it.

I live off of 68 and 730, if you've been to the speedway gas station, I am 2 minutes from there.
