I saw three different suggestions on adjusting the roller rockers. One video says 1 complete turn of preload, 1 says 1/2" a turn of preload. Last it said 1/4 to 1/2 a turn of preload, he claimed 1/2 a turn or more was too tight. Which one is correct?

I use anywhere from 1/2 to 3/4 past zero lash and it had always worked well with a hydraulic roller setup

Is this with the lifters pumped up or no? Also do you do them in a certain order? Like all intakes first then exhaust or vice versa...

JKTRUICKIN06, The car was running two days before adjusting them, so I'm guessing the lifters were pumped up. No certain order other than I start ed pn the right roller on drivers side at the front of the engine and worked my wa back then to the passenger side

Ok. I am really just curious as well. I've seen a bunch of different opinions/techniques.

I usually don't adjust them in any certain order and the lifters are usually pumped up but if not then tighten them until there is no up and down movement in the pushrod and then go another 1/2 to 3/4 turn

You want to adjust the rockers while the lifter is on the backside of the cam lobe. Comp or crane have a how to on their website.

I always do running back off till ticks turn tighten till stops then half turn. No guessing games then its dead on half turn preload. I cut the top out of an old valve cover to keep mess down.

If the lifters are bad will it make it hard to adj. the roller rockers? Make it seem like you got them all right and its still louder than you think it should be?
I found one lifter that was very easy to move with the push rod, has it just bled off or is that a sign of a bad lifter, please help and thanks!

It's prolly bad if u can push it down by hand I would swap it out for a good one or buy a new set they are fairly cheap
