Well after a couple years down, I finally got the idea up to stop being stupid, sell all the parts I have put back to turbo my gt, and fix my chevelle. Its nothing special but heres the rundown.
The car is a silver and black 71 chevelle...ss...sorta. lol. Its been around for years, mostly noticed by the words blown income down the side of the cowl.
Engine:
Dart block 421" (350 base)
Biscoff ported brodix track 1s
Custom 4/7 swap .630 lift comp cam
10.5:1...or so. Lol
Dart intake
Horsepower innovations 4150 e85 carb
Custom single turbo setup
Borg warner s480. 1.32 Ar
NON INTERCOOLED
5" exhaust
Built rmvb 350 turbo with a t-brake
Prostar 500efi pump
Blah blah blah. Lol
Well we got the car done for the 2011 season and after only a couple months of fun, and a couple real lean wideband readings, the car started spitting oil out of the evac tubes, and well, running like shit. Lol after we tore it down we found out we had melted a hole in one piston and smashed the other 7. Oops. I guess we should have went with the dual needle and seat float bowls. Well the car never made a full pass with the turbo setup. The car has been a best of 9.61 with this motor on a 275 shot. Not too shabby for a 3540lb full interior all steel car...with 4 corner manual drum brakes. Lol. No It didnt stop very well. But its been sitting it the garage for a while now due to family, health, and other problems.
While it sat there I bought a nice little 89 gt, bought a turbo kit, heads and other stuff for the mustang. I just happened to go out to the garage the other night and look at her. So I decided, screw the mustang, im gonna focus on the chevelle. Plans as of now are:
Get the motor rebuilt
Aerospace discs all the way around it
Dual needle and seat float bowls
Sell the s480, go bigger...:)
Order a turbo cam for the setup
Change converters
Go through the rear end and change gears (4.11 to a 3.55).
