My buddy bought a mustang about a year ago and it was starting to run lean. We went to replace the fuel filter and it wasn't there! They cut it out and put in a fuel line instead. It sat for about 3 or 4 months and he's lost interest in it and I'm interested in buying it, although I know I'll need to replace the injectors and add a fuel filter to it. Any ideas on how to do that? Can shops put in the fittings for the filter? Or do I need to get an entire fuel line? It's a 96 GT and it's putting out about 400hp at the wheels so it's pretty thirsty so I want to do it right...
Thanks
Justin

Ps it's good to be back in the mustang world!

Welcome back and you may want to just replacing the entire line. See what you can pick up at the local salvage yard.

I called around and my buddy who works at a Ford dealership said they can't get new lines anymore, but NAPA sells a kit that crimps on to them and that's what they use if they have to remove one. Ill keep on the lookout for one parting out because I'd still like to have an intact line.
Thanks
