That will set him back a few bucks. Glad no one got hurt in the process.

How do you even do that?

I can't quite tell but the car actually appears to be an all steal body car, possibly even original, and not one of those fiberglass 21st century replicars that they allow into the annual Pumpkin Runs just because they look like 30 series Ford Coupes. The passenger sides appear to have dents and that damage on the back quarter looks almost like a crease amd/or deep dent. Makes this loss all the worse if that is the case. Thankfully it appears the engine was an SBC and not something more valuable like a Flathead, Cleveland, Boss, or Cobrajet block. That red color on hte back appears to bea dizzy which would be indicative of an SBC.

Most important how do you explain that to the wife.

10 seconds before this happened the words were uttered. "Hold my beer watch this"

I'd have to tell her I sold it and never bring it home. Or I'd spend the rest of my life getting that "you dumb ass" look.

Not mentioning names, but we had a SBZ member blow a head gasket at a private racing T/T fundraiser event at a local track a few years ago. Can't remember now if it was his first or second pass but the car crapped out near the end of track and would not even turn over. Early analysis at the track was that the SB was toast. It was later found out that it only turned out to be a head gasket and had hydro-locked apparently.

I had the opportunity to see the look on his wife's face and her comment. It was SCARY!!!!!! She was livid. I will never forget that expression on her face and hope to NEVER, EVER see it on my wife's face. Chances are it will happen some day however.

Women who don't understand or share the love for cars and racing just don't understand. THere are many guys on here that have really cool and understanding wives. I am not a member of that fortunate group. So I can fully relate here to the comment.

Everytime I hear/see this I remember the guy riding the Buell thought it would be a good idea to rev it to the moon and literally dump the clutch at a 1mph roll. He went immediately over and on his back. I felt bad for the guy, but if you're sitting on the seat and dump the clutch on a v-twin bike, it's not going to go good.
