timing woes

Just got my motor in after a rebuild, can't get it timed right. I know its not 180 out bc it rums great in the upper rpms just idles rough and back fires once when you mash the gas. One tooth off? No vacuum leaks. Smoke tested the intake yesterday. I've done everything I can. Can someone come over and help?
