Anyone made it to kil-kare this year? They opened a few weeks ago and I want to know how the new track is.

I haven't made it up myself due to weather when I was planning on going. But I've heard nothing but great things about the new track surface....hooking and smooth.

The track itself looks awesome, you'll think your at a different track. Lots of improvements all around the grounds. Went there on Wed. night, saw a few XOS cars, track seemed to be hooking great. New owner has sank some serious money into the whole operation.

I was up there just last week and the track is very nice. Very smooth and seemed to be hooking quite well. Huge improvement over the previous years

Was that your Mach 1 tonight? Ive seen it at the last few events but its always surrounded by people or no one is there. Ill catch up to you one of these days. Lol Looks like its been running pretty good. What kind of times are you turning?

i hauled my cousins coupe up so i ran my truck a couple times just to see how it ran, it was the extended cab white duramax with 20's on it

That's a nice f'n truck. Looked like it ran pretty good too. That light on the front is bright as hell. Lol. I like it.

It was good show. Its a great facility. It has a little bit of everthing. For me It sucks because it's an hour ride. But I'll be back. It also sucks that it's on the same night as XOS at E20 and the big dawgs only run half track.

yea thats been mine. It went 12.28 back to back yesterday, then I starting racing the Honda. I hurt the transmission a few weeks ago, so the car wont be driven much anymore till its fixed.

went up there today, track looked great... cant compare to before, since I had never been before. Some cars were hooking up great, watched a fox as we were leaving pull the wheels and pack them a good ways down the track and still ran 9's saw raz put down some good times... seen a few bangerz there.... just went to watch since the brakes are out on our trailer... planning on heading there soon to run the stang down the track and see if I can hit a 12 second pass.... I REALLY wanna sell my car and buy a built car!

Me and Raz struggled a little today with the car but we didn't do bad for it sitting 8 months being built and these were the first 2 passes on it. Its got a lot left. Plus the heat sucked!

I ended up making 1 pass in the Cobra and went a 12.39@117. A little better than last time!

I only get one Friday night off a month and I planed on going to FNL this week. but after going to edgwater Wednesday I dont think I want to go to a track again untill fall. Mid 90s and humid as hell sitting in a staging lane with a helmet on is miserable. Im not leaving the air condition on my Friday off. I will see you guys in October:lol:

Was definitely hot and swampy last night at KK. I was told the track temp before my first pass at ~7pm was still 144. Spun all 3 passes last night. Think I still have some kind of issue going on with my tranny/converter. Track was very nice and smooth...just hot.

Not to be overly critical but not having open access to the staging lanes sucks. The best times I've had at the track have been in the lanes talking to my friends.

Yep, I agree. I have learned more and met more good people walking up and down those staging lanes. It was by far the best part of test and tune.

I truly hope the management at Kil-Kare rethinks this policy. Unless I'm racing, I'm not sure I want to go and just sit in the bleachers.

I wonder if its an insurance thing? It appeared they are trying to keep people from standing at the fence too but given the new concrete walls you can see all that much anyway.

track is great. imo.. Way better than it used to be lol. they did cut a lot of the riff raff out of the staging lanes because they make u buy wrist band. every car can get only 2,extra pit passes..all in all still a good time for the family..BUT I do hate the longer drive from the track to the staging lanes..going into traffic sucks when ur racing

x2. Friday night was my first visit to a Lightz out event of any kind. Was well managed, well controlled (in spite of the soap opera drama near the end...yawn), and well attended. Had a great time. Could have done without the burnout event but aside from that it was entertaining including the quarter mile foot race. Well done by Kil-Kare. Track looked awesome as well.
