This is the summer of surgeries for you man. Grape tuck for you and grape enlargement for wasabi.

Did you tap into the dimmer circuit for power on the light? If my source is correct this can be done by splicing into the purple/wht stripe wire coming off the dimmer module on the headlight panel. THe voltage is PWM therefore no additional drive module should be needed IAW the article I read. I was hoping that the gauge would have a green option but I will just run white light at night and if splicing into the dimmer circuit is not an option I will add a small variable resistor in line to bring the brightness down to a level I can manage at night while running no lights in it during the day time.

Will keep posted as things progress. I should have the driveway upgrades in by Thursday which should allow me to at least get them all installed and the vacuum line ran at minimum before SHE gets home. LOL!

Adam is booked up for a while so dyno numbers won't be available until later. Numbers on similar setups have been yielding very close to 500 RWHP and real close to 450 RWT on 7-9 psi. Upgrades can take the package as high as 710 FW currently IF the bottom end can handle that amount from a TVS.

May have to replace the Nitto 555's for some NT05 DR's. Then there is exhaust tone to consider because of HER. So I may have to remove and sell the Magnaflow cat back setup and retrofit the factory after pipes and purchase GT500 exhaust. If SHE isn't happy with that setup SHE can walk.

I'm just happy to have a little grouch in Oscar now. Yip changed its name. No longer Wasabi. Now that it has some attitude its renamed OSCAR.

Will post up some pics when I get everything finished on it Friday before heading to Kil-Kare to watch Friday Night Lightz...

Yes mine is tapped into the dimmer switch. Your source is correct. Only issue I have is the nylon line kinked against the vent duct when installing it so it doesn't read correct right now. I ordered a nice stainless braided line from summit that will be here tomorrow to fix that though.

Gotcha. I will drill and grommet the vent tube for the vacuum line if that is possible. Maybe that will resolve that issue.

OR better yet an 1/8" elbow with barbs on either end that can couple the line together where it comes through. Thankfully I have Ace Hardware a block from the house.

If you 90 down out of the gauge it will not kink. I'm 90ing out with the braided, just gave me a good reason to buy a stainless braided line when the nylon one kinked and pissed me off lol

You let the cat out of the bag LOL!!! I was enjoying the suspense. I was hoping it would've drug some butts off the couch to come out sunday and see what implants you got. That was good entertainment.

You should slap some side pipes with side skirts on that thing. Or one of those setups that has both. The side pipes are hooked up to cutouts. I was curious what stage you were putting on. I guess its a stage 1? But heck a few little upgrades and you'll be a stage 2 or 3. Ive seen people using JLT CAI or RAI and getting great results. I think like 30 more rwhp over the Roush intakes. Im sure you will be more than satisfied with Oscar. Congrats!

I was one of those who could never wait until Christmas to tell everyone what I got them. With that in mind, I did pretty good...LOL!

Yeah Phase 1, the 575HP/505T package. That keeps warranty happy. Roush does not off an extended drivetrain/powertrain warranty on phase 2,3. In two years I will kick up to phase 2 or 3. No plans on LT's or anything else. Just keep it simple, keep it stealthy and have some fun. Plan on toning down the exhaust a little as well possibly with GT500 exhaust and the factory after pipes if I need to.

got cha. Thanks. Will do that when it arrives in. Makes perfect sense. Roush made it easy to tap in as well. They have an 1/8" NPT port on the passenger rear side of the lower intake to tie right into. Did you route the poly/nylon tubing through the engine sound tube grommet to get through the fire wall? I think they eliminate this on the upgrade and place a grommet in that hole which will be a perfect place to come through.

So you're saying I have about 2 years to catch up before you get even MORE power... Great....
Again... I'm going to have to go with a Procharged 5.4 just to keep up with you guys, lmao...

Got Oscar back today. Runs pretty nice. About like redfire did after all the mods.

Was bummed out with Steeda (not the first time they've let me down), the strut tower they designed around the Roush SC package has clearance issues. So either they screwed up the build (I've seen it on other cars with the exact same Roush package) or they screwed up the package. So its going back. The vac/boost gauge is okay. It has a smoked lens on it which requires back lighting at all times. Don't get it. So I may be sending that back and getting a trusty old Sprot Comp II vac/boost gauge. They def have it running on the rich side. WOT in 5th the AF on the wideband is at 11.1:1 -11.2:1. There is plenty left in this package when the warrnty dries up.

Thanks gang!

The Roush tune will remain on the car for the next couple of years. I am getting the optional powertrain warranty they offer which was the purpose of this package. I spent a lot of time contemplating and researching this. Roush warranty knows me by name now. LOL!

There is a ton of residual power in this car that isn't being tapped into because Roush is being conservative with their tune for warranty purposes. My plan will be to step up to phase two (625 FWHP) in two years, and then look into some tuning for that kit.

Thanks.

Lebanon Ford. They just became the Roush Dealer for the area. Going through them helps with warranty retention and getting the Roush optional warranty coverage on the power/drive train. $375 for that is worth the peace of mind on this investment.

It was a fun drive up and back Cam. But clearly not as much fun as you were having out there on the track. NICE PASSES!

Very nice Chad.

Thanks John.

Went out ot begin installing the relocation brackets today and found I did not have 18 and 22mm wrenches. Plenty of sockets but no wrenches, and I refuse to use an Arkansas combination wrench set (IE crescent wrench) only to bugger things up. So will make a trip to Sears this coming week and pick up a coupe of wrenches. I need them so time to get them...again. Must have left them at a job site in a former field service job.

Also need to swing by Cincy speed and order a REAL vac/boost guage and not use the one Roush offers that I bought. The stupid thing has no ability to dim down the back light (verified this with Roush). The autometer LED setups will tie right into the dimmer module and function like a real gauge. Plus the Roush gauge has a tinted lens on it so it can't be seen without a backlight (white for day blue for night). Craziest thing I ever did see. I do not suggest this gauge.
