Wiring my waterpump ,just wondering if its a good idea to run the hot wire to the back of the alternator? Or should I go somewhere else with it? It's on a Windsor with a one wire alternator. Thanks

The wire on the alternator is hot, at all times. Don't think you want that.

I would wire it to a switch, that would allow it to run while the ignition is off.

Wire it to a relay then to a switch. Unless you want to burn your car to the ground...

^^ What he said ^^ Try mounting the relay as closely as possible to the EWP.
