Can you build a t-45 to have an internal short shift? I know it sounds weird but I always thought my car had a short shifter until I just bought a Steeda Tri-ax to put in and pulled the boot to see what kind it had. It looks completely stock but it definitely has a short throw compared to my buddy's 2003. Or are there cheapie shifters out there that look stock?

I'm switching them out tomorrow. I can get a better picture then.
I haven't seen an aftermarket one yet with a stamped steel housing.

That's definitely a stocker with a aftermarket handle

weird, right? I'm going to measure the shift gate before I take it out. I've never felt a stock shifter feel this short and tight, lol. In my mind there's no way a handle can make this much of a difference.

The stock handle has a big block of squishy rubber in it to absorb noise and vibration.

Installed the Steeda last night. Let it sit overnight for the RTV to set up and just drove it.... Feels exactly the same. Used the same shift handle until the new in gets in.

MGW FTW!!! That's what's is on my t5 in the fox and its the best shifter I've owned smooth, quiet, and the shortest shift.

I know I know!!! But this was $75 vs $175. I'm getting one later but I figured this would be good for now.
