How much of a difference does MSD stuff make on a car? I just bought a distributor, I have a 6A box on the car already.... I went with a mechanical advance dizzy, but I have a stock coil..... does it matter much?

U really aren't going to see much of a difference with the msd vs the factory ignition it just gives u peace of mind that it won't loose any spark in the upper rpm's where some of the factory ignitions can't keep up

MSD= My Spark Disappeared

*but if you hit it with a small claw hammer it will come back long enough to get you almost home.

far enough to make pushing the car a real PTA but close enough that hooking up the trailer seems like a bad idea

well, I put my dizzy in, my new breather, but haven't put my plugs in yet, haven't set the timing either, doesn't seem like it has the power as my junk dizzy.... maybe its the timing... or the plugs...

well, I put new valve covers on it today, changed 7 of the 8 plugs, set the timing ( by ear ) adjusted my fuel pressure just a bit.. oiled up my air filter..... took the car down the road and hit it once just to see how it was running, spun a bit in 1st and hooked good after 2nd... wasn't shifting hard only around 5-5500 rpm.... and was going off my odometer and when I reset it to zero, I was already over 100 MPH when it rolled over to 0.3 so in less than a 1/4 mile was well over 100...... so It should run what... atleast low 12s? I know I had a 2.0 60' time at the track at 92 MPH @ 14.3 before I done this last bit of work....
