Current setup 97 cobra vortechd

Forged shortblock was installed less than 2,000 miles ago and now has a freakin knock.

I need a new one, someone who can install.. Even if its a stocker. Probably going to trade in at the dealership..
If a rebuild is cheaper, I should still have my old block still at Dayton performance..

Anybody help with all of this ?

who built the rod knock engine?

I have a shortblock that will work, but it needs a 6 bolt flywheel.

That motor came from Steve Sills and was built by Puals in Cinncinatti! NOT Dayton Performance

Motor was built by pauls
Installed by dayton performance

If you want to know any of the details of this nightmare, Id be happy to lay it all out.
And my old block isnt at dayton performance either..
Either way, It/i need a new engine

How long ago was this? I thought Steve sold that motor to you like 2-3 years ago.

Bought the motor in January 2011
Got my car back in July or August of that same year.

I bet I havent put 1,500 ish miles on it.

My buddy spun a rod this spring because he didn't prime the the motor with oil. He let it sit for 6 months on 1yr old oil. I think the crank and rod bearing was dry and when he started it up not primed, the dry bearing stuck and spun.
The worst thing you can do to a car is let it sit. 1500 miles in 2+years is worse on a motor than putting 60,000miles on it in 2years. Sucks, hope you figure it out and its nothing major

I hear ya turbo.

I drove the car here and there, small commute to work, it didnt just sit..
But thanks for the story, and well wishes.. I hope to figure it out soon too.
