quick fix for holes in the fire wall

hey guys so the bird is so close to getting to the strip I can smell the VHT anyway I just had a thought I never filled the holes in the firewall I will fill them the right way by getting some sheet metal over the winter and welding it over the holes before I get into competition I just want to get a few
T&T nights in this year do you think I could use some fire stop foam just to get me past this year??

I have done my best to do things right with this car and build it in a way that it will be easier in the future when it comes time to put a bigger motor in that and life getting in the way is why its taken me 10years to get it to the track I just wanna go fast and pull wheelies lol but its time to get it to the track THIS YEAR

How big are the holes you are talking about? If they are bigger I would rivet some small aluminum plates over them for now and then fill them in later. If you use the foam you will have a lot harder time filling them in later.
