well guys I was told I couldn't post in the dirty dozen thread since my car is hurt. ok this is the run down ive been beating the balls off my cobra for 3 years and finaly had some issues cause by my stupidity that some will learn the hard way. lol. I wanted to say im sorry if I crossed anyone by posting in there, so il fix my junk and come back out badder then before if all goes well. going to pull motor and tranny out this week and my new motor is going together as we speak. so im hoping to be back up and running by the end of the month for some new dyno numbers and time slips. il keep it posted as I come along. again sorry guys if I posted in a thread I shouldn't have I was just super excited I ran what I did on BLOWER. Also I no I cant spell for shit so sorry for that to....:bigthumb

yea I have a couple motors laying around in pieces. not building anything to write home about, just stock parts, diamond pistons that are coated, with all arp hardware, and freshened up stock heads and cams. why change what works I guess.

God I hope not. He'll have to go backwards and give me 3 lengths and the hit. Lol. I don't think he's gunning for my slow whippled Cobra. On street tires. Its not in a good place right now. Its got a 100lbs of dirt on it.

yea working on the motor today I have a whole motor to go back in as soon as mine is pulled that way I don't have to take anything off this motor to get going. I would say a piston or 2 is toast. has a ton of blow by. it was all in due time that's y I have been slowly gathering parts. I had just got the last of the arp bolts and then bam. its still drivable just has blow by. I was still taking my son back and forth to school in it, lol

Rather not say. Il get pix when this motor comes apart. It won't be down long guys I should be back up and running and ready to rip the shit out of the new setup by the end of the month or sooner.

I will say this it was a simple mistake and only take one time to send it to the bone yard. Lessons learned the hard way I guess.

yes sir old motor is out and havnt took it apart. but new motor is going slow they sent me the wrong rod bolts but I have them now and hope the motor is together this weekend. hoping to be back in the car and running next weekend if my new power adder makes it in!!!! cant wait...

also I did get all my brackets on the front of the motor, intake, and front cover powder coated in hammer tone, and valve covers in ford blue like the gt500. looks killer so far. alsp put all the wiring under the hood behind the fenders and done a abs delete and rerouted the lines and put the battery in the back. its looking nice and clean.

well got some done this weekend after them sending me the wrong rod bolts and side main bolts. got the short block all done and heads and cams bolted on as well. gotta degree the cams this week and hope to be able to get motor back in the car at some point this weekend with any luck.....

I just checked back in and it sounds like your making progress. I had issues with Jegs sending wrong bolts to me when I was workin on my 2v. Nothing worse than getting home to work on something and the wrong parts are sitting there.

well its back up and running !!!!!! finally got all my bs done had a lot of little set backs, but its running again still gotta get it tuned but man it sounds good and looks killer down in there. cant wait to get the new numbers.....

well guys I finally got it to the dyno and here is what I got 2.9 whipple, stock crank, rods, heads that steve barker freshened up, diamond pistons (coated), all arp studs, arp side bolts, total seal file fit rings, coated race bearings, 96 cobra cams, (degreed), return style fuel system, 80 lb injectors and sct 3000 meter, bbk lt headers, bbk x pipe, and flowmaster cat back, and car is on e-85. everything went nice and smooth considering it was a full build. car made 752 rwhp and 710 rwtq. I was pretty happy with the out come. what do you guys think???

thanks guys I may try and run it on the dr or just go buy a set of slicks and make a few passes this weekend. I know its a completely different car and power then before, and its gonna take a few passes to learn to drive it again.
