2013 Terminator Tour Ideas

Last year some of us got together and came up with an idea to have a Terminator Cobra cruise. It was late in the year and a little cool for some. It was a great time. I think it would be fun to do it again. So Im throwing the idea out there again and see whose interested. This is open to all members and friends and all make and models of cars. But lets get the terminator Cobra's out and dust them off for a day and have some fun. The route we used last year was pretty fun. Thanks to Chad (Redfirepearlgt). We can use that route unless some one has another idea. The cruise was basically a stop at each of the 3 QSL's in the Cincy area. Starting in Florence, then Milford and ending in Colerain. So throw some ideas out for a date, time and a route and see what we can put together.

I've still got the route saved.

Cobras led the pack and all other cars followed through. It was a great time. Especially as we cut through DT CINCY on 5th street. Would be awesome to hit fifth street this year with 30+ mustangs and american muscle cars doing the speed limit and cracking the pipes across downtown and out Columbia Parkway.

LOL!!! I had an issue with the car at WOT. It was spitting and sputtering. I changed the plugs. It took care of the problem. It brought the car back to life. Feels like a different car to me. So Im sure I will squeal. Im a sissy in any other seat other than the driver seat. It needs brakes bad also. Rotors have some bad hot spots.

Someone said something about Oct 5. What dates work for you guys? A Saturday or a Sunday? Last year it was on a Sunday.

QSL's do their cruise ins though the end of September as I understand it. I don't think they go into October so if that does not matter, then Sat or Sun bears no preference as long as its not early AM. Otherwise if one is wanting to do the QSL thing like we did last year and hit the cruise ins, it will need to be prior to 10/1 and be a Sunday afternoon unless I am again badly mistaken on when the cruise ins at QSL are officially over.

i personally prefer Saturdays (my bed time is much later :eek:) but Sundays work depending on the start time and location.

IF we want to hit the QSL cruise ins we would have to do it on Sunday. IF we did it on a Sunday I figure we could meet in Florence at like 12 or 1230p and leave at like 1p? And be in Milford by like 2p? That way we could be at the Colerain QSL by like 3 or 330p and get a great spot for all of us to park together. Last year most people didn't make the trip from Milford to Colerain. Hopefully this year we have a better turnout and everyone will make all 3 stops. And we could go with Sept 29th. Im not sure how the Saturday's work at QSL. And Jon works Saturday's.

For the record I've seen Woods car roll and it runs out very well. He did well at the Spring SCS held by Cincy Speed. And I've driven RT VIckers car. There is more there than he lets on. Mine is the slow mojo in the group. I'll just listen to the exhaust on all those nice termi's.

Everybody has a different definition of what a steet car is. Thats a debate that will never end but the one thing you cant debate is STREET CAR and TRAILER dont go together

Jackass got on 275 around Sharonville with a flatbed after unloading his truck but never cleaned off the gravel. first bump and my car was pelted all over.
bumper, Hood, windsheild, both finders, headlights, doors and even both quarters

First estimate was $5200 at Carstar

I hate that. I always see big trucks on the highway with mud and gravel coming off of them. I do my best to stay away from them for that reason. Sometimes you cant avoid it. Did you get the plate and company name? I know its hard to in a situation like that.

Called his office and took pictures of the rocks falling off and the truck cab with company name and truck number

Don't feel bad. I was "Vangohed" by a flying piece of shrapnel on 75 North Saturday, Sheared the DS Mirror and dented the door up. $1200 estimate. Not near as bad as you but mine was a no fault comprehensive claim. I have $50 deductible. Don't know what's going on with all the crap on the interstates these days. BUT THAT IS ANOTHER THREAD.

Not near as bad as you but mine was a no fault comprehensive claim. I have $50 deductible. Don't know what's going on with all the crap on the interstates these days. BUT THAT IS ANOTHER THREAD.

Just got Oscar back from the body shop. I'm back on the road. Take that car to Castrucci BLWN PONY. THey did a fantastic job on mine. And they are an on site body shop. No overspray, no tape lines, no blend issues, under the hood is clean, etc. Everything was very professional. That and Greg the body manager has a really cool Salt water tank in the waiting area to check out. Oh and he is into Drag Racing.

06OCT works also - apparently I wasn't thinking clearly when I woke up from my nap an hour ago. I think that 13OCT13 would probably be the best though, probably have to time it after church lets out for people.

Either way people will need a little bit of time to get everything straightened out regarding time off work, gas, cars fixed, tires, etc.. if they're not already squared away.

Alright, lets get this cruise locked in. How does everyone feel about Oct 6 or 13th Sundays? Id like to get it locked in this weekend so I can post invites on other sites. I cant do it on Oct 19 and 20th. I have to work the weekend both days. The wonderful Army Corp of Engineers is making us put up a floodgate. And the beautiful Commonwealth of KY wont give us permit to do it during the week. So as of now we are being forced to do it on the weekend. Its supposed to take 20hrs to put up. When it goes up it has to immediately come down. Fun fun fun. Anyway, let me know how those two dates work and we'll go from there.

I hope you and Steve both can make the cruise. I know his car is down right now but hopefully he can have it ready to go by then. I know its a trip for you guys. I'd just like to get as many Terminators to show up as I can.

Since they switch this to a Sunday Im out. I work 3rd shift Sat and Sun nights so I sleep most my Sunday away. We can still try to link up sometime before the seasons over and play. I plan to make it to KK on a Thursday for test and tune in the next few weeks before my wife pops out kid #2 and the Cobra falls one spot further down lifes priority list.

I'm hope the cruise gets rained out and rescedualed for next weekend I tried like hell to have my heap ready for tommorow but my air meter took a shit on the dyno yesterday won't have one til tue if I miss out tommorow.....
