90 LX Hatch is Stuck

Well, my hatch is stuck shut and I can't get it unlocked. Anone have a suggestion to get this thing open.

Drill the rivet out of the keeper plate, pull it down and out, and slide out the lock cylinder. Then just use a screwdriver. The plate is on the underside of the hatch above the license plate.

Gave it a shot but I could not get that clip off. I did take the two license plate lights out to get some access. I didn't feel anything at the end of the lock cylinder.

Usually once you get the rivet out, it just slides down. I've never had any problems getting them out. Then the lock cylinder slides right out and has the small shaft the goes into the latch assembly.

I looked at some pics online then went back to it. There was already a screw in place of the rivet so some one had been at it before. I just had to get a little more aggressive with the clip and work the lock out. I'm missing that shaft that goes to the latch which I'm not really concerned about at this time.
