Come on guys... Let's make gun sales ok on here. We do it on ESC and don't have any problems. Selling guns from one private person to another is NOT illegal.

Honestly, I don't participate in a few firearm websites because they don't allow sales (even through FFL's for interstate sales).

It has always confused me why there's a firearms section on the site, but don't you dare talk about selling/trading on here with them.

Yeah, a gun section would be cool. In fact, make two. A gun discussion and gun sales.

I agree, I see no harm in adding a Gun classified section, that would be a very positive change.

Im up for it too!

Face it, there are more people into firearms these days than addicted to Mustangs and drugs! Lets have it!

If not firearms at least a section for firearm parts and accessories and ammo.

I was just going to post a poll on this topic. I'm a gun guy, always have been, always will be. I know at first this site allowed sales as some friends bought and sold things on here. then it disappeared. Any old timers know why and want to let me in on it? Just pm or post here.

I'm fully for a new gun and part section.

I'm on the site every day, I just don't post as much as used to. These days I'm more into guns than cars, but I still like to see what's going on in the local Mustang crowd.

What does it hurt??? If your a registered member of the site then what's it matter? If you are anti gun then this site would still remain a MUSTANG site. You wouldn't have to read the firearms section.

Guns and cars have been joined at the hip since the very first drive by. You cant have one without the other, they are both deeply embedded into the American culture.

I believe a few of us may want to do an 80% group buy?

I think the original thinking was all based on what could happen if something went wrong on a sale and how it could blow back on the site and Vinny. He contended that he had too much to lose. Say, if someone got on here and was dealing a lot of guns, legal or not and he was listed as a defendant in a law suit. He decided to err on the side of caution and forbid sales. As a concession to the gun nuts he talked about a section for discussion. If it can be done without any ramifications on the site or owners, I'd be all for it.
One thing that would have to be checked IMO is interstate sales. There's a bunch of guns I'd like to buy as long as it's legal.

As much as I can understand the blowback on deals gone bad...we are adults. Some bad, some good. Chances are...ppl who deal here are more trustworthy than ur average no-known on any other site. Just b/c we r a car site doesn't mean we cannot have other interests.

I'd trust a gun swap/purchase amongst car folks more than I would CL or gen public sites.

I say yes to a gun forum here.

It's no different than buying off of armslist or going to a gun show. If a deal goes wrong at a gun show, they don't charge the property owner of the location of the gun show. They charge the people involved. Same as if someone sold a stolen car on Craigslist.. Craigslist can't be held responsible. People over think stuff too much

I get ur point husband..and Vinny has (had...still forget he is gone sometimes...) a valid point. But say...worse case scenario...we get in a fight and I buy said gun from a fellow SBZ member and kill u with it (as if I couldn't shoot u with the many we have) But let's say I did...I don't see how liability could fall on this site even if I bought the murder weapon here, as opposed to anywhere else. If I stabbed u with that knife I bought on Ebay last month...they couldn't blame Ebay any more than they could blame this site where I bought a firearm from a fellow member. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

True, but in today's anti gun mentality I'd be concerned with some slimy lawyer bringing down the house on us. I don't own any part of the site but I'm invested in the people I've met and had fun with over the years. I'd hate to lose that. Like I said, if there's a solid legal way to distance the site from any blowback I'd be all for a gun sales forum. It's not my call tho.

Man nobody would love to see gun sales on here more than me. I usually have one or two specific things I'm looking for, but will buy damn near anything put in front of me at the right price. I'd also like to be able to sell a few things from time to time. An example would be an Enfield I bought off a friend to help him out. I don't want it and would like to sell if we were allowed. I also like to buy brass, 5.56, .308, .357, .45 auto and long colt etc.

However, when your the man responsible you gotta consider every possibility of blow back. Cover your own ass first.

I have been interested lately in a derringer. Tiny lil pocket thing. I have a .380 as a carry. I also have a 9mm in the car always...but I am lax in carrying on my person. Kev isn't. He carries always. I want to...just need something smaller. Like the idea of a small carry..tiny I mean, in my purse.

You ever have those dreams about being naked in public? I have a similar dream. Being caught in a situation where I need a gun, but it's in my car. NOT ON ME... makes me think I need something on me always. Like the .380 but I am not always faithful about carrying it. They say the best carry is what u will have on u ALWAYS!!!
