Project Here We Go Again

[2000GT]

Well after going through divorce couple years ago I’m finally able to start another project. I had to sell my last project right when I was all most finished because the bitch took everything. And I been dying to start another.

Got back up on my feet and for about 2k
I picked up a 94gt probably the dirtiest car I’ve ever owned. All stock but some gay ass head lights and tail lights the previous own put on the car. :confused:Which came right off!

Don’t really care a whole lot for the sn95 style but its all I got right now. :cool1:

hoping to get alot done to it over the winter. not 100% which way i want to go with it(turbo, sc, and so on)

well fuck this car its always one thing after another

went to bolt the valve covers on and the damn passenger cover wont go on cuz it hits the back of the alternator. then had problems with the t.b. i had to walk way from it fiday. i was about to throw a brick thru the windshield. :mad:

well car fired right up!!!

had to rig a little bit of stuff so i could get it over to paint asap.

when i get it back im gonna finish up some other stuff under the hood
-like my valve cover had to notch out a little to clear altenator
-i broke a fucking valve cover bolt in head so gotta get that out
-and some other things to get it running smooth

then post some more pics of the paint and everything!!!!:D

I went 9.33 @ 145 with a t70. And I think.it could've actually gone quicker but I then stepped up to a 78mm.

4v motor is really efficient tho. I dont believe ive seen that kind of times out of any sbf with a t70 and ptrim exh wheel (in a 3000lb + car).

no i got the whole kit headers, down pipe, innercooler, piping, injectors, mas, 255 pump, and much more. i'll try to get pics later and get em posted up soon.

Nice welding job. Just a question out of curiosity, the gear drive whats the story on those, was that like an upgrade from the timing chain or what. I've just never seen that so figured I'd ask.

i was in a hurry to get it back together so i left them in there.but i dont know i know they don't stretch over time lol. most make noise, i cant hear mine tho. i'll be switching them out tho most likely when i pull motor again

Yeah thats kinda what it was about, to eliminate a weak point. I hear theyre bad on cam bearings though. They make quiet ones and noisey ones. The noisey ones kinda sound like a blower. lol

I welded in my anti-roll bar before the weather got real cold! Got the chassis painted black too!

Been working on my Lincoln since my friend's garage has a torpedo heater in it and I dont, plus I really need to get it on the road so I can keep the miles down on my Ranger (205k and counting lol)

Yeah for a long time it was just collecting all the parts I was getting for it, and I was kinda burned out on it too. I've had it in the garage going on 7-8 years... :eek:

theyre not bad ive done it before. jim did these just cuz it was there. just clean area good obviously. all old rusty shit.

These was actually the easiest I've ever done. Usually you have to heat up the housing some and still hit them pretty hard a few times with a piece of wood and hammer. I just had to tap these once and no heat. To get the old ones out just take a air hammer to the metal part of the bushing housing and it pushes them out.
