I will start. I have a 2001 Honda Shadow VLX deluxe (600cc) soft tail bobber

Excuse the mess in the garage. I am currently switching the bike around and just mocked up the fresh seat, tank and side cover for the frame. I wont mount my rear fender until I replace my chain/sprockets. It is a small 1/4 fender made from a older metal front fender from a bigger bike (not even sure what bike its from but we cut it up and made it work.

Ah good call on the no floorboard vstar. I hear the vstars like to scrape the boards on the ground even of your not riding aggressively.

Do they sell a reduced reach seat for them? That's what I may do on the Harley I'm getting. the pedals are fine but the aircleaner sticks out right where my knee goes.

2008 zx10r. Recently did a cbr1k monoblock front brake caliper swap. Other mods include Ohlins TTX rear shock, full Yoshi r77d exhaust, Bazazz efi controller with wideband data logger and quick shifter, -1+2 etc....

I would be willing to bet that 90% of riders can't use a 600 to its potential. Myself included but I still own liter bikes. :confused:

Will do. It has been a great bike. I put 8k on it last year with the only parts breakage being the throttle cable. My wife wants the whole "lazy boy" lounge seat in the back so I will be upgrading to a newer one.

I am not sure of a timeline yet. It all depends on the $ after I complete the house remodel. I will be looking for about $6500 when I sell it.

might be a good place to ask this...
been looking at a Harley Street Bob for $14k and I love it, but I grew up around street bikes, soooo, my buddy has a 2005 CBR600RR that I think I can get for about $3k. Another buddy's brother has a 2010 Triumph 675 Daytona that I really want for $6k, and finally I found a 2012 GSXR600 with 300 miles for $9k that I know i can get around 8500.

Harley is expensive but it will hold its value and CAN be unique if I want to drop another 3-4K into it.

Sport bikes are cheap.... I like cheap.....

Ive got about 5-600 miles tops this year. Broke down a bought a 09 super glide last month so the wife can ride with me. Now I have 3 bikes in my garage and no room to work on my project truck.

I will own it till the day I die. It was my dads truck. Nothing special to most but he loved it and always dreamed of building it up for the hell of it so thats what were trying to do. Have alot to do before it can even be driven on the street safely again (a long time sitting there while his wife refused to do anything with it)
