Well went in to work today after being off 2days unpaid, only to get fired. I was sick Friday and Saturday, and had a Dr note from Friday putting me off til Monday. I was fired for unexcused absences. How in the f@@@ is that possible,? when I asked my boss all he had to say was have a good day.

I'd at least talk to a lawyer. He should be able to get a free consultation to see if he has a case.

If they are anything like our local Schwans I would consider yourself lucky. Our driver works a shit ton of hours to make fair pay. That seems to be a shitty company to work for as a whole.

I've been buying from Schwans for 16 years and the driver we had in Michigan and the one we have here seem to Love their job, Do well financially, Win all kinds bonuses and things through Schwans and take quite a few vacations !!!
Of course that is just my opinion after16 years of dealing with them as a VERY Satisfied Customer !!!
So with that I would say there is more to the story then just what is being told !!! :bigthumb

Many companies have what is termed "no fault" attendance policies--you accumulate a certain number of absences or tardies and you are terminated. Perfectly legal. Sorry you lost your job, but going to an attorney will not help.
