Thinking of picking one up, what are your thoughts or opinions? I understand its a lower end/ entry level rifle, but its only use will be a varmit gun and to occasionally fire a few rounds down range here at the house.

My buddy is selling one and I am going to shoot it next weekend. He liked it as an entry level gun, but wanted a mid length so he went with a Daniel Defense mid length that I did shoot last weekend and loved it.

Will you be buying it? If not shoot me a pm with the specs and price. Thanks.

I won't be buying anything till we close on the new house and sell the old one. I'll get the specs from him and post them up for you.

They are a good gun. You won't be disappointed for your first entry one.

I got a txt from him today telling me that the gun is sold. He's shopping for an ACOG for his Daniel Defense now.

I have a few DPMS in 5.56 and 7.62x51 and they are just as accurate and reliable as my S&W or Ruger AR's. Now if I were heading into Iraq or some other hot zone I think I'd go with a Colt or other higher end AR. Bottom line, they are just fine.
