95 5.0 need help ASAPP

95 5.0.. cold air bbk. Exhaust and msd ignition and coil... my brother drove to work this morning everything was fine. Parked.. worked 8 hours.. came to leave.. car is missing.. when give it gas it sputters a d tries to die. Has no power...

changed fuel filter
plugs
wires

still doing it.. its his DD and im lost. I asked brian and he said hard to tell.. any ideas? If it wasnt obd1 id have it on my laptop....

Does it miss at idle or only when it is under a load (when you are trying to accelerate)?

I'd try pulling the msd box off it.

Its only under load not idle

I had an injector go bad on my '94 causing an extremely similar issue. Replaced them and everything was fine. But you may also want to look at the pickup coil in the distributor as a culprit as well. Check the distributor and rotor button contacts for corrosion buildup.

Yup,just plug the coil back into the factory ignition harness and see if thats it. Doesnt take but 5 minutes to do and its another check on the list of things to look at.

Will the car rev fine in neutral?

If it revs fine in neutral it sound like an ignition issue to me.

I would also replace the distributor cap and the rotor if they have not been done recently. They are fairly cheap and it is easy to do.

Wouldn't hurt to check fuel pressure.

Ignition module on the distributor and check the Mass Air sensor harness plug.

He said it doesnt rev fine in neutral but it sounded like it did.. and the whack job before spliced wires for the ignitikn and cant plug factory back in

Came home after 2 days. Now it doesnt even want to start or idle and when rev misses super bad

May be a little late but check smog pump lines if it still has them

Yea it is. Was the fuel pump. Now we gota get those injectors you sent me in it. It still is off a little you can hear it
