I just installed a holley systemax intake on my Fox and I have a annoying whistle/whine at idle, I've had the upper off twice and finally rtv'ed both sides of the plenum gaskets and changed all vaccum lines and caps but it's still there. Idles and runs fine, if u put your hand on the upper it quits remove your hand and it starts again it's like some sort of harmonics inside the intake

This was happening to me with my GT-40 tubular which really amplifies sound. It was my BBK throttle body. Tried the hole drilling thing and everything else. Only true cure for it was Accufab. Bought an Accufab 70mm, installed, no whistle.

Hey try this, helped to fix noise on Buddy's car,http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/5-0l-tech/49292-bbk-throttle-body-whine-high-pitched-noise-fix.html it was the IAC on his BBK TB, very easy to smooth out. Hope this helps

I've tried smoothing the iac ports on the tb with no avail, I am beginning to think it is meant to whistle

My throttlebody did that, I just learned to live with it mine only did it once the car was warm

That's exactly what this is doing, its quiet till it starts to get some heat in it then the whistle begins. Guess I'll have to live with it as well

My 70 mm professional products throttle body whistles, my other two don't. Same thing, I can put my hand on intake and it goes away. After two others didn't whistle on same intake same engine I left the professional products on.
