haven't gotten the chance to work on it yet its sitting in a friends garage I cant bring home another project

the frame was just painted so i wonder if what ever controls the timing has a bad ground

Will it bump start or try to? You say it's got spark, fuel and good compression. Might need to check the clearance on the valves.
