Great time in New Castle Indiana today...

Had a blast in New Castle, Indiana today at their car show and downtown cruise. Met LEROY93LX and his whole fam damily. What a great group. Almost made me want to quit my job and move up there. Saw some amazing fully restored classics. Talk about Mopar heaven? That is it. If I saw one Super Bird or Daytona today (fully restored and not crap work either mind you) I bet I saw 6. Valients, Darts. Super Bees, you name it. Then there was this Judge. WOW! They even had some guy in an Mercury with a pair of 8"tail pipes that had to have the best flame thrower set up I have ever seen. It was crazy. It was one of those 70's boats like Uncle Buck drove. Rattle canned black primer and was a riot. All kinds of goodies up there. Well worth the 2 hour drive from Cincy.

Thanks for putting that flyer up Leroy93LX. And your Pontiac fire bird was awesome looking. You don't see them in that kind of shape much these days.

BTW the return drive down 27 was as fast if not faster. I made it in the same amount of time in spite of slow traffic and high water due to the storms. Woud be nice to be able to go around Oxford though. I know I hit every freaking light in that town red...EVERY ONE!

It was definitely a good time. The weather held out until the end of the cruise and then let loose! All in all a very good day. My family and myself enjoyed your company. I think your car was a big hit up here. I had 3 or 4 text later in the evening asking who it was , how fast it is and how sweet it looked and sounded. We do love our Mopars up around these parts. We do have our share of everything else though. The car collection we got to hang out at kind of proved that. Maybe next time we will hit the local doctors 100+ car collection. Lots of Vettes and Jags and rare muscle cars in this collection. Can't wait to do it again. Thanks for coming up. I didn't take many pictures but here are a few.

Broad daylight on a clear sunny day and I couldn't agree more Jeff. Last thing on my mind driving through Oxford in a torrential storm at 10:00pm with empty streets was co-eds. LOL!

He had that custom designed after getting the car if I understood Lee correctly. It was a showroom full of awesome Jessie. Wish some guys would have gone up with me. We had a ball.

Yeah the Superbird convertible was something Larry always wanted. His vision was blacked out with a white houndstooth interior. He didn't care what the drivetrain was as long as it was unique like the rest of the car. So it has a 426 Hemi with a FAST system, Viper T56 , big brakes and cold air condtioning! Its a cruiser for sure with its 3.23 gears!

Weds nights at Mac-n-Joes, Steak night and $2 Capt-n-Cokes, OK it was a while ago but I spent my fair share of time in O-town. Enough I was considered an unofficial Townie at The Circle.

PS: old GF was a Prof. asst and in lived in a house (Prof. owned it) with 4 other students. Walking the female student home was entertaining to say the least. This was back when there was quite a few campus rapes happening.
