I know this is stangbangerz but Having to rely on the dealer for the fix of my truck. I have entirely too many trust issues especially with dealers for this. Ugh. Damn service guy even told me they can't guarantee that it will work. Like he is preparing me to get screwed. I almost want to sell the truck and cut my losses. Smdh. I can buy the part I need I can replace that part. But the dealer has to program it. And he doesn't guarantee it will work. And it's $130 to program it. Oh the part is $150. Wish I lived where there wasn't winter and I'd just drive the vert year round.

Someone might be able to help if you said what the issue is. Not trying to be a smart ass. There is alot of good mechanics on here that may be able to provide some insight

2009 sliverado z71 cranks but not start. Don't hear fuel pump turn on when try start. My research says fuel flow control module is bad. But I guess it could be the fuel pump. So I really need to be 100% before I start throwing money at it. Especially when I have stang parts waiting to put on. Lol. Good call Kevin1989

With the key in the off position, disconnect the Fuel Pump Flow Control Module and connect a test light to the Dk Green/White wire at pin 13. Then you turn the key on, engine off. Then use a scanner to command the fuel pump on and off, the test light should turn on and off as commanded. If it does the fuel pump is bad. If the test light is always on, turn the key off. Disconnect the ECM. Turn the key on with the engine off and recheck the test light. If the test light is now off, locate and remove pin 50 in ECM connector X1. Reconnect the ECM. Turn the key on, engine off. Recheck the test light. If it is now off, replace the ECM.*
