New rear suspension mods are all but in place. Got a homemade pair of sway bar relocation brackets to get installed this week and a little grinding to do so the15X10's will fit and then its off to the track for some much hoped for improvements. Just hope the projected weather and temps stay as they are or improve. Plan on being there NLT 6:00pm.

Not complaining. Just wasn't able to go back there until I got a helmet. Wasn't aware the helmet I had wasn't compliant until they pointed that out. Got one a month or so back now I meet criteria. Now I can. No big deal.

Josh, Joe, Adam, Shannon, Gordon, Ricky, Brandon, and families great seeing you all. What a great night. Had a blast. Would have liked to have found that 11 sec pass but I'm on my way there. 12.38/116/1.94, 12.35/116/1.91. Made another pass messing with air pressure which sucked and still went 12.56/115/2.0. So learning the secrets of leaving now on sticky tires.

It was also good seeing you Chad and I'm glad your numbers are getting better. I see 11's in your near future. Smytty nice terminator, glad you feel like after all these years it's still an awesome car. I'm planning on keeping mine for awhile.

Btw I ran 12.396@116.65 & 12.414@117.86.

Chad, are you running a blower?

Chad, are you running a blower?

Yip. Roush the tune sucks. Has crazy torque strategies going on but they deny that when I talked to them about it. Tune coming from VMP tuning. Justin is very familiar with the Roush tunes and TVS setups. So I am looking for some better times with that alone. Went ahead and had him send me a 10-11psi pulley and 90mm idler as well. SO we'll see.

My first time on real DR's last night. Trying to find that happy point between launch RPM and tire pressure. Left at 3000 on 18 and it bogged out a bit. So tried 16psi and 3500 and it seemed to bog even more. So tried 20 psi at 3800 and spun them off. So trip down will try 18psi and 4000 RPM. Really don't want to leave harder than 4000. Tires are 27" 295/40/17's (I think) MT ET street Radial II's. And yes traction assist is all shut off. LOL!

Times clearly reflect lack of experience. Oh well its just an older guy out having a little fun.

I usually run my drag radials at 14 psi on the track.

Thanks. Will try that next time out. Was trying to straight high and work lower. One of the guys told me to increase pressure once if I didn't want to leave on a higher RPM and learned quickly that doesn't help a bit. Appreciate the feedback.

Oh crap!!!! Great seeing Twisted Wedge (Ricky) and Adragon (Adam) out as well. Sorry guys, so many people showed up from the site I lost count. Was almost like stories I have heard from pre 2007.

Chad,
I see mid 11's in you future with the VMP tune & pulley !!
Glad the tires/wheels helped a little at least !

Helped quite a bit Scott. Will take a little tweaking on my part to learn how to leave on tires that actually have some grip. I am used to having to pedal to find grip. Now I am having to increase RPM to get off the line without bogging down. I'll take two consistent 12.3x passes and the one 12.5x pass (tried something contrary to theory there adn it backfired) as a good sign. I'll send you a PM. Thanks.
