Got the car on the rollers and everything was going great.......until he clicked it in third and it free revved. Question is, the only thing that I had changed is the trans brake VB, could he have used the same gasket from the old VB and that would cause the no third gear, the old VB was a reverse manual with no brake is all?

Yes still have second and reverse, second snaps in gear, trans feels great besides no third

Sounds like something in the VB, then. IIRC, second and third share the same band is the reason I asked....to rule out any problem there.

Do an air check to make sure everything is working with the valvebody out then when u change the gasket if it still doesn't work it is an issue with the valvebody itself

3rd is the direct clutches inside the drum.2nd gear band comes off.
prob the valvebody if all worked before.

you need to ck the directs and listen for the ka thud it makes like he says in the vid. if its ok its a v/body prob.

Got it working, called Trans King, ended up being the linkage was out of adjustment. They said it has such a small window for clearance. Took it for a drive, just seeing if it pulled in all three gears, good to go! On the rollers hopefully next week!

Haven't had it on the brake yet, or experienced a trans brake at all, so I am pretty excited
