Anyone have any luck replacing speedo gear in trans with it in car? Or just as simple to pull trans to take tail stock off?

If it's just the driven gear you're replacing, it should be easy to do in car, it's just underneath where the speedo cable inserts into the trans. That's if it's a T5 in a fox body.....

Its not going to be an easy task with the trans in the car but it can be done, it will just be hard to get the piece the shifter goes in back on the shift rail with the spring and ball back under it unless u have a extra set of hands

Probably just as easy to pull trans.
Anyone know what size bolt holds the sensor clip on the trans? Mine is missing

I've had my T5 apart before in the car. But on a drive-on lift. Just a matter of having someone inside and someone below! LOL
But it wasnt too bad. Could be done on stands. Hardest part was getting the tailshaft housing back on while someone is in the car lining up the shifter block and getting the ball/spring in place while getting the roll pin lined up. That was really the worst part. That was really the only time a 2nd person would have been needed... if my memory serves me.
