As if I don't have enough on my plate... Rocker panel replacement!

Working on this on the weekends. '98 Ford F150. Getting full rockers on each side and a rear drivers cab corner. Good fun!

Looks better already w/ it cut out. But it has many weak areas and I decided it would be easier to replace the whole panel than to try and do bodywork on a curved panel.

Had to take the door off... was in the way. Fender also came loose at the bottom to slip the replacement panel in, and mark the part that needs cut out.

Cut the rest of the long part of the rocker off.

I have to make a few small patches that the replacement steel doesnt cover which is no biggie. Will be a few small fitment issues but those should be minor. For instance, the bottom where the tape stops. I need about 2 inches there.

Upper metal on the pinch welds are in really good shape and make welding the replacements in a lot easier than if they were rusty.
