I was stationed on Pendleton and used to go to LA all the time. It's amazing they allowed him in some of the areas he filmed and it kinda brings back some old memories.

no doubt. Can't believe they let him into Chinatown. Was stationed aboard CV-64 home ported at NAS North Island in SD and then NAS Miramar (Now a Marine Base) from 86-93. Was up to Anaheim and out to San Bernadino via I-15 several times but never finally saw LA and Hollywood and those sights until 92. Just too much to do in SanDiego and the La Jolla area.

We used to go out to 29 Palms, I can't remember the name of the camp out in the boonies but we had to go out there and rebuild the EAF (portable aluminum runway). It was the absolute worst thing I've ever had to do. Standing on an aluminum runway when it's 110 by 8 or 9 in the morning moving 180 lb panels all day in full BDUs. To illustrate how long ago that was, they had a test track out there and were testing several vehicles to replace the old Jeeps and I have pics of most of them. They eventually went with the Hummer which I'm not sure I have pics of.

Chinatown is one of the strangest places I've ever visited in this country. I can remember riding up there one weekend by myself and decided to explore the area. I can just remember it had a really weird vibe and I didn't feel comfortable at all.

I also must admit I was arrested in LaJolla, we used to have keg parties on the beach and one of our guys got in a fight with a surfer. My group wasn't even in the area when it happened but they cleaned the beach up that night of all military.

Good Times

Sweet video. When I was watching it all I could think of was the costs involved with making that video. It ends kind of strange, but I liked the control the guy had of the car. He knew that thing in and out.
