I talked with a good friend of mine on Friday about the upcoming Broad Street Cruises for 2015 and he and the committee have decided to make the Mustang the feature vehicle for the month of May. They will have all of the Mustangs in attendance in their own display around the Court House Square. I talked with a few people yesterday from the Indy Mustang Club and they are considering making that their monthly get together for May. It would be pretty cool to flood the area with a ton of Mustangs. My junk will be there along with a lot of other local guys with Mustangs that don't often see day light! It is all free and growing dramatically. Everybody should mark their calendars and really try to check this out. May 30th, 2015 I know it is about 90 miles for you Cincinnati guys but its essentially equidistant to going to Somerset. Plus its a weekend after a short work week. We have some decent food establishments around town or could make a 20 mile cruise any direction to some little drive-in. If a group wanted to meet up earlier in the day out at my house and do something like that we could possibly get something set up. Here is a link to the Facebook page with dates, previous pictures and some info.

Went to one of these last year. Had an absolute ball in spite of the torrential storms on the way home. New Castle really roles out the carpet for this. And Lee is a fantastic host. I'm going to try to remember this. Please post up when it gets closer. Hopefuly we can get some guys top cruise up to the land of Steve Alford for the day and have a good time. Much closer than driving to Somerset KY for their cruise.

Don't forget Kent Benson! Old timers like Chad remember him. He lives across the field from us now. I will keep everybody up to date between now and then.

With my new work schedule, i'll have to see for sure, but if tommy and some of the other guys go, I wouldn't mind doing it.

Talked to the events coordinator of the Mustang Club of Indy today at lunch. As of now they plan to come into town between 1 and 2 the day of the cruise. Weather permitting it sounds like they have a pretty good number of vehicles. Come to find out there is also another localized club on the Southside of Indy and they were also invited. So if anyone has any contacts with your local Ohio car club chapters please get the word out. It seems like there is a little shit talking about what month will have the best turnout. Camaro , Mustang or Mopar. There are a ton of Mopars around here but I think they are underestimating how many Mustangs are in a 100 mile radius of here. It should be interesting. We just need good weather!

If anyone is interested in a drive this afternoon they are having a cruise this evening. Starts around 4:00. The feature vehicle this month is the Camaro. Beautiful day for it. Should be a good turn out.

Yeah it was a great turn out and a good time until the shiny new fuel pump in the Camaro took a shit. If we have the same weather next month the number of Mustangs should easily double the turnout of Camaros.

I was out of town this weekend so I couldn't go. But I thought May was supposed to be Mustang month.

You are correct. The upcoming Cruise later in May will be Mustangs.

I went and met with the cruise committee on Thursday and went over a few things. After seeing a pretty decent turnout of Camaros last month they went ahead and opened up another 2 city blocks with access to another block if needed for the Mustangs. They would like to see 100+! I brainstormed around 30 just here in town. It could be pretty easily attained. Looking at the 14 day forecast the weather is killer that weekend but we all know how that could change every 5 minutes. Hopefully as it gets closer we will have multiple days of good weather so there is no worries! My biggest worry is getting my junk ready to go by then!

This is going on this weekend. The forecast shows some rain on and off and scattered in the afternoon. As of now we are still going to have it as planned though. Our local Memorial Day parade was also postponed on Monday due to high winds and will be going on at 1:00 on Saturday. Hopefully the weather holds out for us

Despite some sketchy weather we had over 100 Mustangs sitting around almost 4 city blocks! It was a great time until the downpours came. It was nice to get the beater out for a little while though.
