Here's how the car looks now. I dont have to change wheels. I could just get new black cobra wheels.

Im not sure if all of them come in 18's. Its on 17's right now. If I go with 18's Ill have to buy new tires also. But I could do either.

The thing that gets me about the FR500's is the front wheels. Theyre not deep enough. I think its the offset or backspacing. The spokes kind of stick out too much.

Black or Black chrome 03 Cobras. Terminators are the only cars that I don't get tired of seeing black on black on black on black on black.

How bout something different than what every other car has? Staying with 03 cobra wheels how bout doing gold, bronze or anodized red. I've got a matte gray on mine now but will doing either the gold or something very bright when it hits the road again.

I had it down to 2 wheels until today. New black cobra's and the cobra chrome deep dish. And I wash about 75% for the black cobra's. Well I got to looking at some pics today and screwed it all up. The car doesn't even look close to the pics right now. It's in a storage bin in pieces and dirty as hell with issues. But nothing I can't handle. All I need is time and warm weather. Lol..here's how I feel about it. The fr500's are at the bottom of the list. The front wheels don't work for me at this moment. The chrome cobra deep dish and the Cobra black chrome are almost equal. I really like them but I feel like I could or would get tired of them after a little while. I've never seen any of these wheels in person (except for the black cobra's) so that makes it harder to decide. I like the black cobra's like Justin said they never get old..IMO. it just sucks trying to keep.them clean. I wanted to get some other opinions before I spent that kind of money and regretted it..

If you want to complain about keeping wheels clean, you want to try my white wheels for a bit? Lmao. Seriously though, everyone seems to be getting FR500s, Bullits, and 531s. Less people are buying Saleens, 03 Cobras, and Cobra Rs making them cool to have again.

That's what I plan on doing with the old wheels when they come off. I'm going to kind of do something you were talking about. As of now I plan on bringing them to you and trying out some different colors on each wheel. I've seen the pics of yours in the dark gray. I like them but would like to see them in person. I really like that color. I've been thinking about recoating my valve cover that color also. And I'm getting ready to buy some high dollar coolant tanks and was thinking of the same thing. Like you said something different. Also thinking about some hydro dipping on top of the powder coat. Down the road. Not sure if you thought about doing dipping but I think you could make good money doing doing it. I thought about doing but I don't have the time or the facility.

I feel your pain. Black and white are probably the worst. Not complaining though. Just saying it's a tough job. If it was just the wheels it wouldn't too bad. But with car being black also it makes it harder. By the time I get done cleaning the car I'm wore out and don't want to deal with wheels.

Yeah the chrome looks better. Not a bad looking wheel but I couldn't live with them everyday. And a little pricey to not be crazy about them. But I m definitely open to other options. If the wheel is right I'd spend a little more money. But I don't have CCW money.

Those wont work Tommy. Offset is for a 05+ Mustang. You need something with a 20-25mm offset. I do like the wheel though. I searched around and didnt see any that would work for ya. Plus they are only 8" wide and they dont make any wider.

03-04 Cobra wheels have the advantage of fitting larger front brakes under them. A lot of the aftermarket stuff only fits over the stock brakes. My BBS RKs have no chance of fitting over anything but the stock brakes. No, I don't want to sell my RKs. :tongue2:

Tommy maybe get the wheels you have powder coated to freshen them and get pair of matching wheels with drag radials for track time or fun summer days. You could spend money on higher end tires also or even a good tune. You need 11s or better this year.

I hear ya Joe. Amen brother. A tune is definitely coming. I'm waiting on a few upgrades to hit my door and it's in pieces right now getting some issues fixed. After its back together I'm going to work on the tune. Track time will be limited though. I want to go SRA before I get serious at the track. Hopefully that happens also. But my wheels are a little beaten up and need addressed. Whether it's new ones or a repaint or recoated.

Yeah those are nice!! They was having a sale on the true forge wheels a while back and they was still pricey. Look good though!

Yeah I seen the sale. I like some of their wheels but I don't have that kind of cash. I just ordered a set of their coolant tanks today. I talked to Steve today for a bit. The quality of their work is amazing. But pricey. You wouldn't believe what I spent on coolant tanks today. They will be hear in about 2 weeks.

I personally want new headlights for mine. The stock ones are starting to show their age. I want to get aftermarket ones but I want ones that don't condensate. I think I just want to maintain the car for the time being. I thought about selling it and getting a new 15 Gt but in reality I could probably own this car forever and be happy. I'm not sure a 15 gt would be anymore fun.

I bought mine off ebay I don't think I have a condensation problem.

Just clay barred and waxed the headlights on mine. Over the last month or so I've cleaned the rubber off everything behind the wheels and most of it in the wheel wells, and cleaned up the underside of the rockers. Car looks almost like it rolled off the line underneath. Killing time waiting for my suspension parts, should be here next week. No more 4x4 look!

I think you should stick with 03 wheels or save up for some fancy ass HREs or something. The cast stuff from AM, LRS etc is nice but it's not that nice. Still Chinese castings and finishes.

Mine are starting to delaminate, I guess I could somehow remove the film on them.

Wetsand them and then polish them out and throw some clear on em. That's what I did with mine and they turned out great.
