Chevy warning!!!!!
Ive been wanting a Corvette for a long time. So giving the chance I jumped on it. I still have the Stangs so hopefully this isn't a issue amongst my fellow Stangbangerz. Over a year ago I came across this 2013 60th Anniversary Grand Sport. Its a fully loaded 4LT with removable roof, leather wrapped dash, center console and door panels. The car was already Supercharged with a Paxton Novi 1500 and full exhaust. My plans are to build it to over 1000RWHP and run mid 8's. The picture below is the day I brought her home.

Within a month my first purchase was some black wheels. I decided to go with the Corvette Cup wheels. Fronts are 19"x10" and rears are 20"x12". I also ordered Nitto Invos in 345's along with tire sensors and black Gorilla lug nuts.

Shortly after I bought the wheels and tires I took a day off and went to Edgewater. Unfortunatly I blew up the trans on one of my run. Me and my dad wanted to attempt to rebuild it ourselves and then have it inspected by a top transmission shop.

Ive bought a few Automatic fox bodies and converted them to a manual by putting in a Tremec Tko in all 3 of them. I even had to switch out the pedals, clutch quadrants and etc. I could of done all three of them by the time I got my Vette finished. It was a true pain in the ass. After ordering the new clutches we put them in.

After putting it back together knowing we couldn't upgrade the shaft, valve body and weld the trans pistons. We sent it to Century Performance Transmissions. There is only 3 well known places in the U.S. that will build a 6L80 trans and I felt theyre the best for the job. When all said and done it should hold 1200hp.

While waiting for the trans to be built I decided to do something about the horrible brake dust these cars make. I ordered Hawk Ceramic pads and upgraded the rotors all the way around. Along with going with Stainless brake lines.

I also bought ZR1 extended carbon fiber side skirts and front splitter. The splitter was on 3 month back order so all I was able to install was the side skirts.

After about a week of nothing to do. The trans finally came in. These guys really did a great turn around on the trans. I couldn't be happier with them. I also decided to upgrade to a 3200 Yank Converter while everything is out.

And the first drive with the new transmission. It worked flawlessly to my surprise. I figured we would of missed connecting a sensor or something but after double and triple checking everything. Everything worked perfectly. The trans even had a overheating issue and a shifting issue since the day I bought. All of that was fixed. I was very happy to finally be finished with it and move on to something else.

After driving around a couple times with the new wheel setup. I knew I needed to upgrade to some stickier tires before I kill myself. The 345 Nittos aren't cutting it. Theyre completely dangerous in my opinion for any car that makes descent power. Only one problem. They only make 19" and 20" cup wheels for the Corvette. I needed at least a 18" drag radial but ever drag setup available is just plain ugly. I looked at weld, ccw and a few others. I didn't want to spend $5,000 on an entire setup of wheels and tires. I just wanted rear wheels with drag radial tires and everything available didn't match. So after searching and searching and searching. I found out they make these wheel in a replica version for 1994-2002 Trans Ams and Camaros. I checked the offset on them and found the front wheels have the offset I need. Only problem is they only 18"x8" wide. I purchased them and sent them to weld craft to have them widened 4". Now I have nearly a matching drag set up.

If I want over 1000rwhp im going to have to upgrade the supercharger. This little guy will only do a measly 875rwhp. I posted it on the Internet and within 20 minutes I had it sold. The guy happened to be at his bank and wired me the money. So off came the supercharger and on its way to its new owner.

Ok I must ask. What is the deal with the punisher sticker on the rear? There is a god awful looking Yellow vette with neon green stripes running around here in Anderson with the same sticker on his. He had a c5 before this one in the same color scheme and it was riced out with everything an aspiring ricer could want from Vatozone plastered all over it.
BTW, badass ride!

I ended up going with a Paxton Novi 2200R. It's basically a fully billet case and billet wheel YSI. So slightly better than a Vortech YSI. I also ordered the 10 rib cog drive.

I know the one you're talking about. He had a yellow and green C6 and now he has a yellow and green C7 stingray. Looks like dog shit. The punisher sticker is from Lemans. Corvette dominated Aston Martin, Ferrari, BMW and Porsche for many years. Giving them the nickname Punisher.

I ended up going with a Paxton Novi 2200R. It's basically a fully billet case and billet wheel YSI. So slightly better than a Vortech YSI. I also ordered the 10 rib cog drive.

Most of this stuff wasn't voluntary work lol. The trans was messed up when I bought it. After fixing that I quickly realized anything but drag radials is completely dangerous. Soon as boost kicks in it'll kick sideways at anytime. So I was basically forced to get a new set of wheels and tires. Plus I want a decent E.T. lol.

See you got the pic thing handled. Glad you got that taken care of. Sweet car as I've said before. I didn't know it was supercharged, I really like the setup, it's almost not noticeable under the hood it fits so well. Does the new one sit in the same way? It'll be noisy tho, so it'll lose its sleeper aspect, lol. As sleeper as that thing could be. I just did an ls1 engine replacement in a C5. Man these things are tight to work on, but everything went pretty smoothly. Looks like you did a really thorough, good job on the trans. Congrats!

I've used other hosts to post pictures on here before. I had to click the check mark in the box and after I do that. The pop up asking for the URL keeps jumping all over the screen. I figured it out though. Appreciate the kind words. The old supercharger was pretty quiet. You could hear a slight whistle at idle. You could hear it sucking in air and dumping boost If I gave 1/4 or more throttle. The 2200r whistles pretty loud at isle. Even with the hood closed you're going to hear it. Reminds me of my old Vortech I had on my fox body years ago. It's going to be sucking in 450 more cfm than my old blower. I'd expect it to be a little louder lol.

Definitely frustrating cause now the 10 rib belt is over hanging the front of the water pump pulley about 3/16". They're claiming is ok cause the pulley is tapered in the front so it won't damage the belt. Still not happy about it cause I'll have to buy another water pump with a larger pulley to fix it. Also the custom hydraulic line for the steering rack/power steering pump they sent me is 180 degrees off. I spent over a hour trying to get it to line up. I may have to have a hydraulic shop custom make another one with swivel fittings.

You would think they would have everything lined out by now. Im sure others have bought the same things in the past.
Any good hydraulic hose shop should be able to fix you up. I know down in West Union Ohio, Huntley Brothers auto parts shop would make about anything you could need. Farmers used them a lot for tractor hoses.

I believe there's only about 20 people who have this kit. I agree, should be a bolt on kit but it's far from it. Now I have to take everything off again to fix it cause its right behind the power steering pulley which is behind the cog drive, which it under the alternator bracket, which is under the alternator which is under the new direct drive system, which is connected to 4 belts, that I can't get off cause the steering rack is in the way lol.

I ended up having to take everything back off and space the tensioner. Put everything back on again. Went to put the supercharger belt on and the ls3 water pump pulley was to narrow. Never even thought about the water pump. So I had to take the supercharger, all brackets, intercooler intake pipe, water pump, coolant hoses back off and drain the coolant. Good news, I went with a ls6 water pump and thermostat. Couldn't find a thermostat housing so hopefully my ls3 housing works. I ended up welding the pulley to the water pump. That way it don't back off.

In order to take the balancer off. You have to take out the steering rack. In order to do that you have to take the wheels off, unbolt part of the suspension, unbolt the brackets holding the brake lines and power steering lines. Unbolt the steering rack and pull it through the small opening on the driver side.

Next I put on the tensioner that's located on the passenger side of the balancer. I kept trying to get it on but wasn't having much luck so I beveled the edge a bit so when I tighten it down it'll guide itself into place. Worked the first try.

Got the oil drain tapped on the front of the oil pan. I noticed it has allot of coolant from when I pulled the water pump from the block. I drained it completely from the radiator but the coolant in the pump leaked out on the timing sensor around the balancer. How screwed am I or did Chevrolet think ahead and seal it so fluid can't leak into it?

My buddy bought a 15 C7Z and sent it to vengeance racing with less than 100 miles on it. It held the highest hp record for a while. Definitely a badass car. I had the opportunity to buy a C7 stingray. The C7 is a gorgeous car. It just doesn't say Corvette to me. Looks more like a exotic car to me.

I like the C7 for the suspension improvements over the C6--particularly the electronic differential. I still don't like the rear lights. I'm more interested in road course handling than straight line acceleration. The Shelby GT 350R has also put up some impressive numbers at the Nordschiefe.

Got about 90% done with everything. Went to put on the 10 rib supercharger belt and its too short. Going to order one 1.25" longer today. After that all I have to do is bolt up the engine cradle, suspension, couple hoses, (it just turned 3,000 miles on the odometer) so I'm changing the oil and filter, double check everything and then put the wheels one.

True but would you really want to cut it up any? I know it would be hard for me to do. Its too nice of a car and will bring good money in years to come.
But look at the other Vettes out there. IPS Vette and the ones that RPM sponsor and bring out to Kilkare. I guess its all in what you want to do with it. Im to the point now that I hate to do anything else to the Cobra and would rather enjoy it on cruises and such and hope that it retains its value for my kids in years to come when Im gone.

I decided on which block to go with. I wanted keep the car numbers matching. I'm sending my block to ERL for a all aluminum 427ci 6 bolt block with 1/2" ARP head studs, dragon slayer crank, billet I beam rods and weisco pistons. Upgraded everything I could. I don't want to do this again. They claim they have cars with over 1800hp with this block. With a couple running 6's in the 1/4 mile. If you're familiar with the Ohio Boys or Ray Litz. This is the exact block they use. Still haven't decided on which 6 bolt heads I want to go with. For fuel I'm going with ID1700 injectors, triple walbro 485 pumps, controller, all stainless lines and fittings and all the wiring. This should be enough fuel to run E85 to 2000hp. Once it's done it should look like the block below. They have finished short blocks but like I mentioned before. I want to stay numbers matching. Another thing I've been thinking about is upgrading to a F1x Procharger. There's a quite a few Vettes putting out 1500+rwhp with a good combination. I'll decide once I add up all the parts. Im currently using the 3.33 pulley. It's biggest pulley for my 2200r. So im basically barely using it to its potential. The car ran 10.4 @ 104mph hitting the brakes before 1000' mark. I feel if the track would of been better and I ran a full pass. I would of had a 9 second pass.

That's going to be awesome. Better blower probably had more cfm and it went lean. I have a head that looks similar but I'll have it fixed and pop the spare piston in it.
If your going to buy new fuel lines, look into teflon lined hoses for the E85. Supposedly it's a lot better.

The LS3/7 heads flow so good. I wouldn't buy a set of heads if I wasn't switching to a 6 bolt set up. I remember looking at stage 3 heads for my 04 cobra and 3V and they didn't even flow close to these head in stock form. Its suppose to support 2000+hp on race gas. Its over kill but if one pump fails. The other two will be enough to support my power level. Last thing I want is a pump to fail and blow my motor. If Vortech/Paxton ever releases their new blower that'll fit the vette. I'll be upgrading my head unit. Its suppose to put out 1600hp. I'm just trying to think ahead. Didn't even see the other pumps. Looks like a nice system. I need to order a set of injectors for mine. Probably go with the ID1000's. I won't make the power you are though. You on E85?

I will be on E85 once finished. Throw a F1x on that bad boy and you'll make a ton of power!

This is going to be harder than I thought. The pumps and the hanger are to big to fit into the hole in the gas tank. I'm going to have to take it all apart. Piece together the hanger and install the pumps/connectors inside the tank through the tiny hole. Looks like cut up hands and wrists are in my future.

The thought has crossed my mind but Ill probably stick to what it has for this coming year and maybe go the turbo route next winter. Just stock pile parts all summer and go from there.

I decided to try something I've never done before. And that is paint. I went to Autozone and got some taillight tent and clear coat. Went to Lowe's and got their taillight restoration kit. I sprayed one descent coat of tent then three coats of clear. Then I used 2000 grit sand paper and then I used a polishing pad to polish it. I'm extremely impressed on how they turned out. I can't get a good picture cause they reflect every bit of light and if I use flash they basically turn into reflectors. But they're a dark cherry color. You can still see a small bit of red so they're not completely blacked out. It's 12 degrees and snowing. Once I finish the turn signals and it warms up I'll install them and post more pictures.

Decided to go with the new All Pro 12-4 instead of the 12-1. They have the exact same design. The only difference is the 12-1's are 3/4" thick. The 12-4's are just over 1" thick. If I ever decide to go twins or vortech brings out a bigger blower. I'll have a motor ready for it. I need all the clamping force I can get.
