What does everyone do with tightening them?? I have a 302 turbo, and the keep coming loose?? The system max is a pain to pull off, just looking for some advise to get the lower to seal and stay put.

I use the blue loctite on mine and never had an issue. I buy the one that looks like a chap stick and just spin the bolt to give it an even coating. You also need to re-torque after a few heat cycles.

What heads? I hate the felpro 1250 and 1262 gaskets. Get a set of factory replacement felpro gaskets for a 69 mustang with a 351w 4 bbl. Much better material! After a few heat cycles, they should not loosen.

Felpro 90116

Actually, get the 1262 S3 gaskets, they are a steel core and don't deform. I run through the torque sequence 5 or 6 times, or until they stop moving before the wrench clicks. Then never mess with them again. And yes, I keep them in stock.

Mike, do you have the plenum gasket for the system max in stock?

23 to 25 ft lbs iirc. I also use the torque sequence and follow that to the letter. Works like a charm. Nope, don't have those, everything else, but not those for some reason.
