Ok people.... at wits end.... have a 95 cobra, with a BG kit. System max intake, trickflow stage one cam, just resealed the intake and set initial timing at 10 degrees with the spout out. Now the car seems to idle around 1100-1200 rpm and wont settle down, tried adjusting the idle screw and nothing happens, also tapped on the IAC and still no results? Could I have a vacuum leak? I thought that it would makes the car idle like crap or hunt for idle when having one?? This idle stays steady at 1100-1200 rpm.

What happens with the spout plugged in? I assume it did not have the high idle before? What happens when you unplug the IAC while the car is running?

Havent tried to unplug the IAC, might try that tonight?? The idle is really low with the spout out. As soon as you plug it in, the idle picks up and wont settle. It doesnt hunt for idle, just steady.

it idled great before, im prob just going to go ahead and replace all the little vac lines for good measure

It idles like really low, lol like you have 10 degrees in it, vut as soon as spout goes in, idle picks up and stays steady

usually when the iac's go bad and stick open the idle will 1500rpm or better.
being the idle comes back down with the spout out should rule out the iac.
what does the timing go to with the spout in?
whats your tps set at?

Dont really know what timing is with the spout in, but can check. Also what would be a sign of a bad tps? Where is it located on the SN cars, i know on a fox but not a SN

Tried new line with no success. Going to try another timing light, but I did unplug IAC and car died, is that normal?? Also took off IAC, wasnt carboned up???
