in weight. How much heavier is a 94, 95? Ive been looking at <86 Foxes, but dont want to deal with rust issues and then I saw some 94 & 95 Stangs going for pretty cheap. I eventually want to have another UMTR car to go out and bang gears, NA. :)

95 gt about 3400 in weight minus driver,foxbody about 3100 pounds

Not sure about weight but they are turds in stockish form lol. My 94 had big 18" bullits, but that thing was a 5 speed with full exhaust and I'd be surprised if it were a 14 second car as it was.

14.3 @ 97. Lowered, on bullitts w/ drag radials. Hot off the street at Kil Kare. exhaust/3.73/short throw shifter/CAI/24# injectors. Yep, its a fat pig. But, it also had over 240,000 miles.

This will be a gutted race car. I mean, take EVERYTHING out/off the car as possible. Not looking to be detailed as my other builds, just a good ole, gear jammin, wheels up track car. 10.0s on motor with a manual trans on 10.5s.

If you strip a SN95 to bare bones you can get it down to 3200 (with a 6 point). Doing the same with a Fox will net you around 3000.

When my 98 4v was na I had it down to 2795 without me Thats with a 6 point bar.I think Matt Amrines is alot lighter than that without ballast.

I'd imagine scraping and pulling the insulation, gutting the doors, and yanking all the HVAC would work pretty well for saving a few hundred pounds.

Jim is right, mine weighs in probably around 2525-2550 without me and any ballast. Race weight is 3000# minus my 205, and I'd have to recount to be completely accurate, but I think I've got right around 275# of ballast in it.

That is with a 6 point cage. There is a ton of heavy stuff you can get rid of if you are going for a mostly gutted race car. DO IT!!!
