Hey all I went ahead and wrote my build in my intro so here is my build thread: 99 Rio Red Cobra convertible, Mods so far put in a new Jensen dvd player, future mods: New black top the tan one is ripped and coming apart, will be getting that in the next week or 2. After that I plan on getting 03-04 parts: Spoiler, rear cobra bumper, also a termie hood, and a tonneau cover. After that I plan on soda blasting everything and fixing the rust spots on it and sealing it then priming it and painting it sonic blue. Going to be putting the cobra letters in black on the bumper and should look really good. After exterior going to move onto stance and get some coilovers and get it lowered. Next is going to be the interior which I am going to go with either an 03-04 or I might go with a Corbeau seats with matching material for rear seats. Black carpet and black door panels, console and dash pad. Tan leather interior now and everyone scolds their legs on it. Upgrade the engine with a blower and all supporting mods: fuel, forge internals sub frame connectors. Looking for about 6-700 rwhp when all said and done. Also new wheels and tires going with Saleen 18x9 up front with 265-35-18 and some 18x10.5 out back with some 295-35-18 tires. Well that about sums it up.

Check out the cloth tops from the 03-04 Cobra. They are so much nicer.

You might as well sell her and get a sonic blue 2003 Cobra vert. It will be WAY cheaper than what you are planning. You are talking at least $1K in body parts (double that if you use OEM Terminator parts) and at least $3K in paintwork. New top, wheels, tires, engine, blower- another $10K easy. Just in parts you are getting close to the price of a nice used 03 Cobra with about 50K miles on it.

Not only is it going to be cheaper, the 03 is a better car in so many ways over the 99 too.. engine, trans, steering, IRS, fuel system, interior, on and on. I know it's hard to give up your baby, but I've never regretted selling my 94 Cobra for my 03 Cobra, not one tiny bit- ever. It's your car, but if I were you, I'd immediately stop dumping money into the 99 and sell it. Get a loan for the difference on an 03 be happy. The stock 03 Cobra motor is capable of 600-700HP with the right blower setup. Sonic blue 03 Cobra verts aren't that expensive either. Not many people want a vert when they are buying a Terminator, and that color was very common.

Yep the parts are going to be the expensive part but I will be doing the painting myself. I am going to soda blast everything, seal it, prime it and paint it. Also Chris91 I am getting a cloth top put on it Next Tuesday.
