Has anybody heard if a new Firehouse Subs restaurant is opening in the Milford area?

Ate at one on Tylersville Road some time back. Not bad, but bring your AMEX to pay the bill. Penn Station IMO is a far cry better and Subway is as good for much less cost. That's my 2/5's of a nickel.

Had em once here in Anderson when they first opened and wasnt impressed. They should've kept the Quiznos that it replaced.

Penn Station is good. Subway is terrible I rarely eat there and it's not really any cheaper.

Prices at Firehouse must have dropped then. Or Subway has gone up. I haven't eaten at Subway since they screwed up and put manaize or however its spelled on my sandwich and made me puke.

They did away with the $5 footlongs. Supposedly now they are bringing some back at $6. Must be losing business.

$5 footlongs was good and bad for subway. The problem is everyone expected it to stay $5. Subway is bringing a lot of new menu items out over the next year to help build sales. Firehouse subs is as good as Penn Station but both are a couple dollars more than subway.

I have only had firehouse two times. First time was just ok, second time, made me sick for 3 days. I was never impressed with Jersey Mikes nor Jimmy Johns. I'll stick to Penn Station as well.

I like firehouse subs and one of the reasons they are a bit pricey is they buy emergency medical equipment for less then fortunate fire departments so when you pay your bill remember you not just paying the company for its goods and services your also helping to save lives. The department I was on couldn't afford a 80k life pack (ekg/defibrillator/bunch of other very cool and life saving functions) with out grants from private donors and federal grants. https://www.firehousesubs.com/firehouse-subs-public-safety-foundation/

McRib FTW!!!!!!! LOL!

Yea, I like the McRib too. I have found a close second. Meijer sells a frozen rib meat sandwich dipped in barbecue sauce that is pretty darn good. Just pop it in the microwave. If you added a few chopped onions and a couple of dill pickle slices, it would be damn close to a McRib. I keep 6 or so in the deep freeze.

pierre frozen foods also has one that can hold ya over until McRib season returns...less the onions and pickles though.

Yea, I got one of Pierre's (forget where I got it) and it was also good. Pretty much the same as the one from Meijer.

PS Philly Steak is my second favorite after Firehouse Sub New York Steamer. I love the warm, soft steamed bun.

Best thing ever. And I leave off everything from the philly except the steak and cheese. Then add ketchup. Don't know why but I think it tastes killer.

Love Penn Station the original Teryaki (sp?) Chicken. They just don't make it large enough.
