fuel line help!! How to identify AN size or fuel line size

So when i bought my cobra project i bought a used old style barry grant carb style fuel system. It came with the pump, filter, and lines for a fox setup. The only thing that wasn't included is the adapter to go from the sumped tank to the braided fuel line. I was able to figure out that the sump is 3/8 npt. Any way to identity what size fuel line i have so i can buy the proper adapter? Thanks in advance.

AN sizes are -6 for 3/8, -8 for 1/2, -10 for 5/8's and so on.

I'm going to say that it is a standard #8 from the sump if my memory serves me correct.
That doesn't mean that you couldn't go from the 3/8"npt to a size larger (#10) or smaller (#6) for the tapered fuel fitting side.
