Picked this up last weekend....flew into Baltimore & drove it 9 hours home, I think I still have a headache & ringing ears from it !!

Originally a California car up until the late '90s, so no rust. It was taken down to bare metal & repainted about a year ago, so that's nice...but it's got a few mechanical issues that I'll need to address. It's got an ancient set of Trick Flow heads that I think the valve guides are shot, also has an MSD box that may or may not be functioning 100%.

Four speed or auto Scott? GT 250 Hertz rent-a-car Shelby. Nice...289 hypo 323HP if I recall. I assume you would never buy a clone. I also see the SCA sticker on the wing. My friend sits on the board for SCA and has a 66 GT350H four speed. Hope to see it out this year...if it ever dries up and warms up.

Not to nitpick, but I remember 67-68 being similar and 69-70 the same other than headlight area? Gorgeous car, man. Miss my 67 ragtop

There were subtle changes in the grill area on the 67 vs 64.5 - 66. The big tell on the 67 is the factory side scoop. Also the tail was changed quite a bit. Tail lights was flushed and concave vs being surface mounted and convex like 64.5 - 66. adding the Shelby side scoops does give the illusion of the car looking more like a 67 however. I hope Scott brings it to the cruise in coming up 4/17/2016.

Thanks for all the nice comments !!! One of the previous owners had a real GT350H that he road raced 30+ years ago and ended up totaling it....he bought this A code fastback and transferred just about every Shelby part from the wrecked car to this one. About as close to a real one you can get and $100k + cheaper.
The guy I bought it from put a lot of money into it, but not necessarily how I would've done it....he put Classic/Vintage AC-Heat, Gear vendors overdrive, a console, etc. He was an older guy in his 70's, and was making it more street friendly.

I'll probably make some changes to make it more period correct. I'm going to try to make the cruise in with it.
