Just had a guy from SVTP send me this. It's my second pass at KK on 4/16/2016. Anyone who knows how to critique please feel free. I'm open to pointers on trying to get the 60ft down into the 1.5's. The second pass I left almost off idle. I only have a foot peddle and I'm running the stock converter. I don't know at what rpm the tires will begin to break grip with the foot brake on. If anyone has a clue please feel free to let me know. Or should I simply be leaving from an idle with the brake peddle barely holding the car? Autos are new to me. I'm used to finding an RPM level and releasing the clutch. Thanks.

Chad,

When you are double bulbed hold brake enough to hold your spot. Depending on your reflexes either first or second yellow bulb bring rpms up to around 2k rpms to flash the converter. Experiment from there until traction becomes an issue or your 60 drops. 1.5 are very possible with the blower. 1.8s are the best na with the stock converter. With a 4c 3800 I could knock off high 1.5s. Good luck and have fun.

Appreciate the feedback Dale. Will work on that. Both passes at KK were almost identical 1.69 60's.

You should look into a good converter, it's a great investment and will put a big smile on your face when you hit the loud pedal

Def on the number one item for 2017 mods. Will be doing a 258mm 2C (maybe 3C) Circle D.

If the converter is setup right it shouldn't drive any different than it does now under light acceleration, I used to drive my slow street car with a c4 and 3800 custom converter all the time and drove like a stocker unless you were on the loud pedal

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
