Sct tuning question...

I have a sct tuner for my 6.7 powerstroke ,already has custom tunes in it..when plugged into truck it says I need auto upgrade before I can apply the tune..I'm horrible with computers just wondering if any one else has had this issue on a car or truck ..easy fix?

SCT X3 or X4? X3 requires hardwire to receive download from computer. I have done this one. X4 as I understand is wireless and I am not fully sure how to setup coms for that unit. Either way the tuner came with a CD. Drop it in and it will load and/or find and download the SCT updater software needed to interface with either device. Through this software package you will be able to auto update your flash tuner device. If SCT 3 tuner I can give you a little more 411. Hope this helps.

If you call SCT they will connect to your home computer and do the upgrade for you. just an fyi.
