View Full Version : What front runners is everyone running? Something safer than VW tires but streetable

I got to thinking the other day that 140+ mph is probably pretty sketchy on the ole classic VW tire. I'd like to find something that has a decent looking tread pattern too. What's everyone using these days?

Those are slick, I don't know how I've never seen them. Crazy that they are only speed rated to 130 though. Of coarse it's only there for a short period of time but still.

Yeah, that was my only concern originally but there are guys going 170+ with them without issue. BTW, I went with the 6" on mine as I wanted a bit more contact area.

You'll be seeing mine soon. :D

Yeah those are nice tires. That's what was on the 85 and it had been 156.

The Sportsman SR is a radial tire. Here is a crappy picture of them but it shows what kind of abuse they can take.

I've heard good things about the m/t tires as well. Do they make a radial version as well as the bias ply?

The radial is whats on the front of my car.
