Video from WarNotch at E20 on last Friday. Car surprises me every time I drive it. She needs some suspension work to get the 60ft right and the car launching straight. She has a lot more in her. If you want to know the combo go to my page at racinonedge.com this car I bought from a friend for 3500 as a roller I have a total of 7200-7500 into building it, that including the purchase and fluids etc...

After the build comes the most important part... The Tune! Mike Bell did a hell of a job on this thing, starts and runs perfect, makes perfect passes and the plugs still look brand new. I plan to put some aftermarket solid adjustable upper and lower control arms and an anti sway bar on it, then do strange adjustable all the way around it. That should get the 60ft down another 2-4 tenths. At that point Mike and I will data log some passes to see if there's any possible gains down the track since he did this tune with only 3 pulls.

Saw you out there! You should have been staging in the slick lanes vs the street tire lanes. When does the anti roll bar get installed?

Kilkare sucks because you are lucky to make 2 or 3 passes on your average test and tune night. It seems like you spend the entire night waiting in line. Man I miss tristate!:(

I can vouch for that. Sat last year in line for over two hours watching bracket racers make 3-4 passes each. Then they finally opened up the other lanes. Eric saw to that being put to a stop. Thanks buddy or we'd probably still be sitting there. I was lucky to get 2 passes in that day.

And heck yeah I miss Tristate also....in spite of the grass almost making me a statistic once.

You could get 20 if ya really wanted to at Edgewater

draggin50

Tristate was a great place! The track could use some work and the grass in the middle was shady as hell but it was a fun place.

Edgewater you can make as many passes as your car will take. Ive made over 5 each time I was there and that was with an extended cool down session and to feed my face.

Kilkare has the best track surface. The lack of any type of shade sucks!! Makes me like Edgewater that much more! And the typical 2 runs a night is bullshit. Chad, myself and Eric watched that shit and it was excessive. Its the closest track to me and it almost made me not want to go back.

Exactly! Tristate is the only place you could've got more at.

Saturday test and tunes at kilkare were good though. Seems like a fraction of the car count, and the operation runs way smoother.

Edgewater only gives you three passes

Max three passes on a non safety compliant car running too fast. They juggle the lanes very well at E20...unlike. I've made 4 passes in a night with no effort. I will only run at KK when there is a closed track TT day. Otherwise I only go for the show and the food.

Id like to hit some other tracks this year too. MCIR, Dragway 42 and maybe South Webster.

I hate to drive 107 miles to break when I can load it up and drive there in the A/C and not worry about it. I can drive it anywhere but if Im beating on it, Id prefer not to have to wait on the tow.

I am with you Brian. I have had trans issues, clutch problems, spider gear break, u joint breakage, etc... at the track. Had to tow home all of those times. Never had more than an overheat on the street while driving. I always trailer to the track now. And i also like to run slicks at the track. It is much easier to do that swap at home in my garage. Leave the radials on to drive to work or take kids to get ice cream or go on a cruise.

Event was great, "Average Joes" supposed to be a bolt on style class had a 1100 HP Vert in it. $6500 trans, $15,000 motor and a 76mm

TurboNG
07-02-2017, 03:15 AM
Needless to say the vert won lol, defenantly not an average Joe lol

draggin50
07-02-2017, 12:27 PM
You should've known that was going to happen. That vert is bad ass. Along with the Red twin turbo Trans Am of Jeff Zerkle's and Lutz.

TurboNG
07-03-2017, 07:06 PM
the trans am wasn't in Average Joes

draggin50
07-04-2017, 12:03 AM
Neither was Lutz but when the payout is as it was, people will come out of the wood work for it. And there is always someone with more money in their car that meets the rules. I think the vert only made 860/970. Brian Turner does the tuning on it.
