mod motor driveline angle?

Anybody know anything about it? I first installed this TKO 500 behind this 4.6 and using the stock X member the blower was pointing to the sky and the PRO 50 shifter base was below the floor. A angle indicator on the fuel rail showed 10 deg (front of engine up)

I used some 1/2 inch spacers on the mount to bring the TKO up as far as possible without hitting the tunnel. Blower level looks more natural, the shifter is about where it is in the Hatch with the T-5, and indicator is showing 4 degrees (front of engine up)

I think this will be OK?....right?

as long as the hood clears and everything you should be fine.

If I'm looking at that picture right, the ones with your spacers, You SHOULD be fine but I would look into maybe getting a one piece spacer made. I have some steel plates from work if you can give me the center to center measurement for the bolts I can see if they are close. I just would be worried about putting all that stress on just those two spacers.

You should be fine but now you should go and check your pinion angle to make sure things are good there. I think you should have a pinion angle of around -2 but I am not sure what works best of the fox bodies.

Pinion angle would depend on how aggressive you wanted the car to hook, street car, race car, etc. Usually with solid bushings in the control arms we set them up at -5 degrees, or if its poly bushings we go -4. That is more of a aggressive drag race set-up that works well on the street also, but like i said, its all in what you are doing with the car.

We drag race round here!!!!!! I was planning on setting it at -3, but I'll try -4....still searching for that wheelie!!!!!!!!!!!:D

with poly bushings you set for around -4. For solids you set for around -2 or -1.
